Anthony Bernbaum joined Templar Advisors in 2016 after a near thirty-year career in consulting and financial services. He has spent most of his career at Baring Brothers, Goldman Sachs and HSBC as an investment banker, latterly focused on the financial services sector.
As a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs and HSBC, he led many important transactions across a number of sectors. Through his participation in M&A and equity transactions he has front line experience of working with management teams focused on investor communication. At HSBC, as Global Head of the Financial Service Sector, he was a key part of the team that led HSBC’s own £12.5bn rights issue.
Most recently he has been Global Head of Business Development for HSBC’s Banking business, where he was responsible for several major initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the coverage force. He achieved this through introducing new approaches to client engagement, as well as relationship manager systems and client relationship coaching.
He holds a BA in Economics from Cambridge University and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau.
