James is a founder of Templar Advisors and has worked with board members and senior management for many companies in the UK, Europe and USA. Recent clients include Advent International, AON, BlackRock, Cambridge Associates, CWC, Deutsche Bank, EQT, Evelyn Partners, Harbourvest, Lazard, Insight Investment, Morgan Stanley, Ninety One, Rathbones, Rothschild&Co, Rabobank, Sarasin Partners, UBS GAM and Schroders. He has also worked on fund raisings, major equity and debt issues across the world. He has undertaken projects for many investment banks and financial institutions, listed and Private companies, leading politicians and public figures.
He worked for the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia Herzegovina during the elections in 1996. This followed three years working for HM The Queen in her private office for which he was awarded an MVO. James was at Exeter University (Biological Sciences), and was qualified by the SFA as a Registered Representative. For many years he taught at the London Business School (MBA Programme and Masters in Finance).
