James is a founder of Templar Advisors and has worked with board members and senior management for many companies in the UK, Europe and USA. Recent clients include Alliancetrust, Ashurst, RBS, Investcorp, Deutsche Bank, Lazard, Hapag Lloyd, Insight Investment, PricewaterhouseCoopers, BAT, Rabobank, Sasol, UBS and Schroders. He has also worked on fund raisings, major equity and debt issues in UK, Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Italy, Poland, Netherlands and the United States. In addition he has undertaken projects for many investment banks and financial institutions, leading politicians and public figures.
He worked for the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Bosnia Herzegovina during the elections in 1996. This followed three years working for HM The Queen in her private office for which he was awarded an MVO. James was at Exeter University (Biological Sciences), and was qualified by the SFA as a Registered Representative. He teaches regularly at the London Business School (MBA Programme and Masters in Finance).
