Shelia Plaisance joined Templar in 2018 following a 17-year career at UBS which included revenue, non-revenue and human capital roles. Shelia brings international experience across asset management, investment banking, private wealth, finance and risk, allied to an extensive coaching and development background across all levels.
Shelia started at UBS in operational risk, before moving to a client-facing role in asset management’s hedge fund business covering a range of corporate, institutional and ultra-high net worth investors. During the 2008 financial crisis Shelia was the global lead of UBS’ Fixed Income derivatives business control group, a position she held for five years.
From 2011, Shelia held key roles within talent management, designing, delivering and managing training programs across banking and markets. Most recently she led UBS’ cross-divisional business partnering platform, equipping participants with the communication, advisory and influencing skills needed to drive better business outcomes. Over 3,000 employees across eight different business areas have attended the program globally since its inception in 2016.
Shelia holds the FINRA Series 7 (GSRE).
