Sam joined Templar after a career at Goldman Sachs. Her experience at Goldman included management of proprietary M&As projects in New York and Sydney, the setting up of Goldman Sachs offices in China and developing the securities business in PRC. She worked closely with the Asia executive and senior management teams in her capacity as the Chief Operating Officer / Business Unit Manager of eight support divisions in Asia.
Sam moved into the communications and client skills coaching arena in 2010 and focuses on pitch skills, consultative sales, impactful communication and presentation skills. At Templar, she has coached senior management teams including CEOs, CFOs, business unit leaders on trade sales, pitches and boardroom discussions.
Sam’s clients include Morgan Stanley, UBS, Blackstone, KKR, Warburg Pincus, Pimco, Thomson Reuters, Skadden Arps and Baring Private Equity Asia.
Sam holds an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business. She grew up in Beijing and speaks fluent Putonghua and English. She coaches in both languages. She is a Director of Templar Advisors (Asia) Ltd.
