Prior to starting with Templar, Tim spent 15 years in the international insurance and reinsurance markets, working both in UK and Europe. His insurance career was split between multinational broking houses acting for major corporate clients and a global European insurer where he led a team of commercial risk underwriters.
Notable clients include: Advent International, Allianz Global Investors, Aon, Aquila Capital, Blackrock, Evercore, Generali, HSBC, Icon Infrastructure, Lazard, Marsh, Morgan Stanley, Neuberger Berman, Oak Tree Capital, PIMCO, Pollen Street Capital, Rabobank, Schroders and UBS.
The work has been a combination of preparing teams for their live pitches, providing individual coaching sessions at Managing Director & C-Suite levels, as well as running best practice communications, pitching and negotiation programmes.
He also works with management teams on their preparations for investor presentations – most recently advising the management teams of a major European energy company, a national telecoms company, a European renewables company and an infrastructure company on their respective sell side processes.
Tim has a BA (Hons) degree in German and Economics, speaks German fluently and has taught presentation, pitching and negotiation skills to the London Business School MBA class for the last 12 years.
